Creepin' In . . .
Here is a mixed media (sorta say)... I did the outlines in illustrator and colors in Painter....Once I hid the outlines layer I wished i did the whole thing in painter.... but maybe next time.... I left the outlines in for definition.

Out on the Tiles...
We had visitors last night so I got the chance to hide in the bedroom and practice my illustrator moves while others entertained the kids....Tho I relied on mostly the old stuff I already knew, I did sketch this out in Painter with the wacom... That was the first I ever really got to work with painter and there seems to be a ton to learn but for sketching it felt pretty natural and I didnt even have to worry about making my paper thin or tear from erasing. Then I brought it into illustrator and went from there. One of my favorite cartoons is the Batman, because they made Robin actually cool and did and awesome job with Batgirl. I hear it was canceled tho. Well I sketched this from the episode "the apprentice" where Joker gets his own sidekick and our girl Babs ends up dangling over a green vat of gook by the legs of joker's sidekick....and its a good thing I can pause the TV for some amount of time.

We Who See the Deep...
I am starting to like using my initial sketch as a basis for this coloring stuff. If there is anything that I do like about my drawings, it would be my pencil stroke. I do still want to progress in using illustrator for complete design because I love that look, I like the look of of keeping my sketch too. Walk Believer Walk!

Fell on Black Days...
I just got a great book on how to color in Illustrator. It was by this awesome artist Alberto Ruiz and he even signed it and drew a titty girl in it for me. So I couldnt wait to learn some new techniques and I started early Saturday morning and sketched out a pic to try and color. I came up with the idea of me letting spider-man know that there is a new kid in town. So after I sketched it out and brought it into illustrator I didnt even know where to begin to color it so I panicked and did the basics in photoshop...sorry Alberto I should have started small. I did tho do all the shading and backgrounds in illustrator and by using my new book I finally learned how to do the halftone glow. So not all was a waste, thanks Alberto!
